MY BIO

Who I Am

I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to build a career by doing what I love. In high school I had a vision for my professional future, I decided to make it happen. With experience in the academic setting and professional setting, I’m now s professional in digital media and content creation.

I have studied under a few trained professionals in my field in both high school and college, but I know that I still have so much to learn from others in the industry. I’m a hard worker, a team player, and excited to see what projects could benefit from my unique skill set.

What I’ve Done

Hub Manager

2023

In my time with Jostens, I was responsible for a team of 12 photographers. This included obtaining and issuing their equipment, training them prior to season start and throughout for mid-season hires, I also provided administrative oversight (timesheets, scheduling and performance management) as well as troubleshooting equipment. I also frequently found myself in sales conversations with the schools to get them to use our business again in the following year.

Business Manager/Social Media Manager, The Current

2022-2023

In this position I managed the advertising within the news paper. I categorized and reached out to hundreds of local businesses about the prospect of advertising in our paper. I also designed these advertisements.

For social media I curated a weekly posting schedule as well as templates for our posts. I aided in our rebranding and pushed for the importance of social media marketing to increase our audience base.

STATION MANAGER, SUTV

2021 - 2022

As the Station Manager for SUTV, I not only produce a weekly TV show and take on externally hired projects I also manage the staff and practicum. I delegate who receives projects we are hired for. From this, I have learned how to manage 10+ people as well as multiple projects of large size.

BUSINESS MANAGER, SUTV

2019 - 2021

As the Business Manager for SUTV, I not only produce my own biweekly segment for our show and take on projects I also manage invoices and delegate who receives projects we are hired for.

HEAD AUDIO ENGINEER, SETV

2015 -2019

SETV was my nationally recognized high school TV crew. We covered live sports across the county as well as produced a weekly TV show for the county educational channel. As the head audio engineer, I was responsible for setting up all audio equipment including running hundreds of feet of cables. SETV taught me how to work fast without losing quality.

PRACTICUM A, RADIOX

2019 - 2020

In my practicum, I chose to work with my university radio station. In this, I learned how to set up interviews as well as write a script for a podcast. I also learned how to use garage band and audacity. By the end of the semester, I produced a podcast on international foods.

PRACTICUM B, THE CURRENT

2020 - 2021

In my second practicum, I chose to work with my university newspaper. Every week I attended a meeting with the editors and picked an article to write. I had from Tuesday to Friday to write the article, edit, and send it to my copy editor for that week. I learned how to write for the news using the inverted pyramid format and AP style as well as copy-editing skills.

My Studies

August 2019 - May 2023

BACHELOR OF ARTS, NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY

As of May 2023, I am an Alum of NSU with my BA in Communication with a concentration in Journalism and a minor in Political Science. I was involved in the Nature Club as a presidential board member, and I worked at the campus TV and radio station and the newspaper throughout my time at NSU.

SOUTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL

In high school, I was taking all AP and IB courses and still graduated at the top of my class. I was involved in many extracurriculars such as SETV, SkillsUSA and I was captain of the women's swim and dive team.
